How did Westfields help you become successful?  The most appreciative factor to Westfields is English skills. As English is a global language, having a good command to English is a very competitive advantage. And having an experience of knowing different culture was helpful too. Because most companies want to expand their business globally, they want a person who can communicate and can deal with people from various countries. And what I experienced and learned from Westfields made me an international individual.

Other Important Facts:  People think I'm smart just because I graduated at the top of the class, but really, I just did what I can. Having deaf parents was what pushed me to do my best because I knew that eventually, they would have to count on me and my siblings. There were always days that I cried about how I wasn't good enough, or wondered if shifting courses was a wrong decision, or if my 6 years in college was a waste time. But I always looked back at all the people, my family, my teachers, my friends, my bosses and my co-workers, every single people I've encountered. Even if I've lost some of them, I'm still thankful that they all paved the way for me to be where I am.
How did Westfields help you become successful?  I've been with Westfields from 2003 to 2010, so this school really witnessed my pre-adolescent years, which was very crucial in every child growing up. Looking back, I remember how everything was really colorful, in a way that we did a lot of extra-curricular activities like painting mural walls, playing soccer, having team buildings by the beach, or writing in the WIS Gazette. So, all the fun that I've had will always be the reason for my optimism and creativity. I've also had some bad times, like when I was bullied, and then I also bullied others. I was also suspended, so obviously, I was never the perfect student. But for some reason, all the childish mistakes I made did not define how my high school was going to end. The teachers knew how to encourage me, to guide me back, to let me know that it was okay to make a mistake, and that I could be forgiven. They made sure that I was going to be okay when I get to college. I could see how important those meetings with Teacher Tey and Teacher Bryan, and how well they took care of their students' mental health. Sometimes, I'd cringe remembering it all, but on the good side, I know that they never gave up on me.
