Welcome to the Secondary Education Program at Westfields International School!
At Westfields International School, our Secondary Education program (Philippines Grades 7 to 12) is designed to provide a robust and comprehensive education that prepares students for future success. As a Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) school, we offer an integrated curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, personal development, and a global perspective.
Overview of Our Secondary Education Program:
- International Curriculum Framework: Our curriculum follows the CAIE framework, ensuring students receive a high-quality education that is recognized globally. This international curriculum fosters a love of learning while encouraging students to think critically and creatively about global issues.
- Global Mindset: We cultivate a global mindset in our students by integrating international themes and perspectives into our lessons. Students engage with diverse cultures, histories, and viewpoints, preparing them to navigate an interconnected world.
- Checkpoint Exams in Grade 8: Students in Grade 8 undertake Cambridge Checkpoint exams, which provide valuable feedback on their academic progress and readiness for the next stage of their education. These assessments help tailor learning experiences to individual student needs and promote a sense of accountability in their learning journey.
- GCSEs in Grade 10: In Grade 10, students take the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams. This pivotal stage allows students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills across various subjects, preparing them for further academic pursuits while emphasizing real-world applications.
- Senior High School Offering: Our Senior High School program features an integrated curriculum that includes CAIE AS/A Levels, designed to deepen students’ understanding of subjects and develop critical skills necessary for success in higher education and beyond.
- Future Developments: We are excited to announce that starting in September 2025, we aim to introduce the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) as part of our offerings. As a current candidate school, we are committed to providing a globally recognized education that fosters inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Cultural Exchange and Collaboration: Our program includes opportunities for cultural exchange, international collaborations, and participation in global initiatives. These experiences help students develop empathy and a deeper understanding of global citizenship.
At Westfields International School, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are prepared for the challenges of the future. Our Secondary Education program empowers students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
