The Model United Nations (MUN) program at Westfields International School provides students with a unique opportunity to engage in global issues, develop diplomatic skills, and enhance their understanding of international relations. Overview of MUN:
- Real-World Simulation: MUN allows students to simulate the workings of the United Nations, where they represent different countries and discuss pressing global issues. This hands-on experience helps students understand international diplomacy and the complexities of global governance.
- International Debates: Our MUN program includes exciting international trips to participate in debates across the globe. Students have the opportunity to represent Westfields in prestigious conferences in cities such as Dubai, Japan, Singapore, and more, experiencing diverse perspectives and cultures while honing their debating skills.
- Skill Development: Participants develop essential skills such as research, negotiation, and public speaking. MUN encourages students to articulate their ideas clearly and confidently while engaging in constructive debate.
